Sagecliffe 2023
There’s something special about Washington in the fall, combining that with the views of the Columbia River Gorge and it is magic. We arrived at the Sagecliffe Resort and Spa Friday evening and were welcomed by sweeping views of vineyards full of grapes ready for harvest, falls leaves, and the Columbia River. We greeted our guests for what would be a weekend, filled with belly laughter, relaxation, exploration, amazing food, and of course yoga.
Our daily yoga practices were blessed with beautiful views and self-reflection as we shared our journal prompts. Our meals were accompanied by good conversation and an abundance of laughter. When not on our mats or enjoying a good meal, we enjoyed relaxing by the pool, exploring the hiking, getting pampered at the spa, wine tasting, watching the Seahawks, or enjoying a restful nap.
Saturday Chuck’s desire for childlike play introduced us to a friendly scavenger hunt. Lynn got creative with her card, things that begin with P. While Erryn took pictures of every circle she could find. Lynn’s creativity couldn’t compete with Erryn’s enthusiasm, we had a clear winner! You know what is a circle? The rim of a wine glass and wheels of brie, both of which we got to enjoy while wine tasting. Our playfulness continued into the evening with wood-fired pizza and dancing to live music by Saltwater Sky. We concluded our weekend with a closing circle diving into questions designed for introspection and one final meal. We said our goodbyes with full hearts and gratitude for our time away.
